Cello Mutes

Cello Mutes

Bowed or plucked, cellos convey some of the most subtle and powerful musical emotions.

Effectively muting a plucked cello is a wholly different challenge than reducing the volume of a bowed cello. So we designed our mutes to respect the different needs of each play style.

Performance

Performance

Our patented three-position cello mutes were created specifically for cellists desiring two levels of muting volume (pianissimo and mezzo piano).

Our mutes also feature geometry that allows for the mute to sit securely on the strings and lightining fast on/off positioning.

Reliability

Reliability

For cellists that insist on performing while crowd-surfing; our two-hole tourte-style mutes feature a completely redesigned geometry that allows for the mute to sit securely on the strings down near the tailpiece without rattle.

The improved design makes it easier and faster to engage and disengage the mute.

Versatility

Versatility

The single hole, tourte-style mutes feature an improved design to make it easier and faster to engage. It will fit anywhere on the bridge between or over the string, allowing you to custom balance the volumes of the treble or bass.

For musicians wedging the mute between the G and D strings, an improved body shape makes it easier to secure the mute down near the tailpiece and eliminate rattling.
